 Since ancient times in Japan, people traditionary hold the boy's festival to drive away evil spirits on May fifth-Tango-. In Edo period samurai family displayed banners and military armors to celebrate their heir and ordinary citizens also followed this custom. Later on the hand-made miniature warrior-doll-helmets were displayed among ordinary citizens.
